what to wear

It’s that time of year when all of the beauty you’ve known as spring and summer begins to change and get ready for a long, cold winter.  The colors become vibrant and beautiful.  But you don’t want to blend in with your surroundings like a chameleon.  You want to be the focal point but that does not mean bright, loud colors.  It’s okay to like the colors of the fall, but it’s best if you take those colors and then tone them down.  Personally, I love creams and soft baby blues and pinks.  But you’re not me.  So stick with colors that are you, just not so much that all you see in your photos are your clothing.

And remember, mix those prints!  Throw in some floral, stripes and plaids but not too much of any!

Are you putting off your little one’s or family pictures because of the weather?  Maybe it’s because you’re waiting to lose those last few pounds or get a base tan.  Or…. is it because you don’t know what to wear?  Maybe you don’t even know where to begin with putting together outfits for your family.  Let me help! If you want assistance, I would be more than happy to aid in that.  Or, start here.  If you choose within this color palette, you can’t go wrong.

Mom, always choose your outfit first.  Then work down through the kiddos and add your husband last.  Trust me!  It works best and in the end you will love your images because you feel good about yourself.  Don’t put it off any longer!

If you want to wear bright colors, please reserve those for your accessories.  Lighter colors are always best for you to shine.  And don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns.  Mixing patterns and colors can make or break your images.   Again, if it’s a struggle for you, please shoot me some of what you might be thinking and I will be more than happy to help.
